“Mindfull” Considerations for “Mompreneurs”
Hello, Modish Mommies! I am so excited to be able to have your attention. First, let me take the opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a bit about my journey. I am a mental health therapist with ten years of experience working in the field. I am a graduate of Boston College in Massachusetts which is also my home state. Boston College is where I earned both my Bachelor and Master degrees. I am a social worker by profession and in this role, I am blessed every day to assist individuals in finding ways to work toward a better quality of life. I specialize in counseling adults but also have experience working with adolescents and young children. I will be writing to you monthly to share “tidbits” on self-care and mental health considerations from a fellow mom’s/professional’s perspective. Mental health is an important and often times overlooked factor in one’s overall physical health. I hope that you find the topics both engaging and informative, and provide me with feedback (through our comment section or Modish Mommies MConnect page on FB) so that I can tailor my segments to the specific questions or challenges that you identify. Last but far from least, the biggest part of my identity is that I am a mother of a three-year-old son and 10-month-old daughter. The most important job that I have is caring for them and providing them with an environment in which they can thrive and develop into their best selves. I look forward to starting this conversation with you all and hope that you learn something new along the way.
